It's a tough thing to do.  What ways do you know to reduce an alkene to an alkane?

Movies,

It is a easy thing to do. Pyridine dissloved into actone with BnBr at room temperature or 60 oC. Stirring for 12 hours. Collecting the percipitate. The percipitate was dissloved into methanol, and NaBH4 was added into it portion. Regular work up. The residue was put to hydrogenation. Several steps, but very high yield reactions.

go herterocyle, piperidine synthesis

good luck!

Wow, that's neat.  I hadn't thought of a multi-stage procedure like that.  I was thinking of something more like Rh/C with H2, which is one step, but pretty harsh.
