Purity on chemicals applied topically. How important is it?
« on: April 10, 2011, 08:38:38 AM »
I am applying RU58841 on my head topically once daily. It is dissolved with 30% alcohol, 45% PG and 5% DMI.

Molecular formula is C17H18F3N3O3 and its called 4-[3-(4-Hydroxybutyl)-4,4-dimethyl-2,5-dioxo-1-imidazolidinyl]-2-(trifluoromethyl)-benzonitrile.

In this link the papers wich followed the chemical containing the structure and formula among meltingpoint and others:

Lets say that was at 95% purity. What potential dangers do that have with applying it topically to the scalp with that vehicle?
Do 95%, 99% and 100% purity really have a that big effect on how the chemical acts or do it mean that 95% of the powder is RU58841 and the rest is harmless waste?
