stabilizing anthocyanin dye
« on: May 21, 2004, 03:09:36 PM »
Hello !

I was dabbling with blueberries in my kitchen
I was wondering if there was a way to stabilize anthocyanin dye to stain keratin or skin safely? :artist:

I know that it's unstable in heat and at a high ph ( above 3.2?)

would it be possible to make it into a stable, non toxic-dye in my kitchen? :detective:

It's probably not possible, but i just thought I'd ask.
If anyone can do it it's the chemistry heros :superman:

thanks!
