Using NH3 in solution when a procedure calls for NH4OH
« on: April 23, 2011, 09:07:31 AM »
Hey folks,

I'm working in a lab in Japan and a procedure I am using calls for NH4OH to be used in one of the steps (it is an extraction method for analyzing Methamphetamine in whole blood).  The only thing in the lab I can find is labeled アンモニア水 (ammonia in solution) at 25%.  Is this what I am looking for?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes. NH4OH is usually found in lab as a solution of NH3. So, I guess that is what you are looking for :)
