Computational Biochemistry
« on: May 21, 2011, 04:09:45 PM »
Is there a program/application/web tool that I can use to determine potential target enzymes for a specific protein substrate based on chemical structure?

More specifically, I am investigating a protein that seems to be affecting tumor cells, but I'm not sure what enzyme the protein is binding to! Literature from the manufacturer mentions one possible target, but the data in our lab suggests that there might be other targets. I'm looking for a way of elucidating the other potential targets of this protein.

I've looked around the internet a little and haven't been able to find anything. I think it might be due to the difficulty of actually typing my query into google.

Please let me know if you have any information!
