polarography: half-wave potential
« on: May 30, 2011, 05:38:06 PM »
I'm given a set of points (i vs E) for deposition of Tl+. They ask me to draw the polarographic wave and to obtain the half-wave potential and the number of electrons involved in the reaction.

QUESTION: which value should I take for the limiting current (the plateau is ill defined) or is there a graphic procedure involved? (the half-wave potential corresponds to half the lim. current, right?)
Also how do I find the number of electrons?

I'm really lost here..
