« on: June 04, 2011, 11:43:23 PM »
2 HCl + 2 KI + H2O2 ---> I2 + 2 KCl + 2H2O
thats the reaction

i have a feeling its not right so please correct me

2KI ------->  I2 + 2e-
H2O2 + 2H+ + 2e- -------------> 2H20

its right
you can write it like this

2I- ------->  I2 + 2e-
H2O2 + 2H+ + 2e- -------------> 2H2O

K+ and Cl - are not the part of reduction /oxidation
