Hi, I wanna dispose acetonitrile. Suggestions on how to safely destroy a 1lt quantity ?

Your department/institute/company should have pretty comprehensive waste disposal guidelines. Consult them.

If you can't give it up for incineration reflux it with conc. NaOH to give corresponding sodium salt of acetic acid then pour it down the drain
Development Chemists do it on Scale, Research Chemists just do it!

leave the bottle open outside in the sun for a couple weeks... or an indefinite time in the back of the fume hood.
