identifying cations and anions

hello everyone,I was looking on the internet some decent explanation on separating cations and anions with specific reagents and group reagents but couldnt find some good ones,so I was thinking if anyone could post a link or something on how to do it ? thanks in advance!

The best place to start is an undergraduate textbook.  This is a common undergraduate experiment, and has pretty much been superseded by instrumental methods.  Unless you want to be more specific about what you need.
