Analytical method for analysis of mixture of Hydrazines
« on: August 27, 2011, 08:00:12 AM »
Dear Members,

I would like to have a reliable method for the analysis of mixture of Hydrazines in aqueous soultion.

The same is mixture of methyl and ethyl hydrazine along with ammonia and unsubstituted hydrazine.

I am comfortable to use HPLC or GC.

I would suggest a nitrogen phosphorus sulfur (NPS) detector for your GC.

I haven't used them for the compounds you are listing.  However, the NPS detector did well for N-nitrosamines. The vendor of the detector should be able to give you more information.

Hope this helps and good luck.

You can derivatize them with an aldehyde and test by HPLC-UV
