Rate Law for Beta-Decay

I'm stuck on a problem in which I am supposed to write the rate law for the following:

Carbon-14 yields Nitrogen 14 + a Beta particle.

I know I don't know how to solve this problem, I just can't find any literature that tells you how to find the rate for beta decay... I guess rate = k[C]

As far as I know all radioactive decay processes obey first order kinetics.

Thanks. I was solving this problem online... apparently they wanted my answer to indicate that I was using carbon-14; I was just writing in carbon (I didn't have to format my answer like that for all of the previous answers). I wound up getting full credit after correcting my answer, so I won't complain.
