NMR... What does this value mean?
« on: September 27, 2011, 12:24:33 AM »
Hi guys,

Please find attached the NMR of my Benzil product. I was wondering what the numbers 1.88, 1.04, and 2.07 on the far left of the graph signify? What do they mean (ie: Are they the integration, multiplicty or what!)

Thanks in advance guys!

Looks like an integral to me

I agree that it should be the relative value of the integral. If you examine your compound you should see that you have got 3 different hydrogens in the ratio of 2:4:4, corresponding to the integralvalues of 1,04:1,88:2,07. Which peak that corresponds to the different hydrogens in the spectra shouldn't be to difficult to figure out due to a doublet and a triplet.
