Calculate coulombs/joules needed to make 1cc of gas form water
« on: October 07, 2005, 08:38:49 PM »
Hey guys, I would like to have a simple equation to calculate how many coulombs/joules it would take to produce a total of 1cc of gas from electroylsis of water(includes both oxygen/hydrogen combined- at sea level pressures)
This is also assuming that I am using a 100% efficent electrolysis device.

Actual problem and numbers:
What is the volume of gas produced by 45coulombs / 337.5 joules assuming 100% efficiency? :agent: Thanks for any help

Google Faraday constant.
