Hey, I have to answer this question:

'Write down the ground terms for octahedral and tetrahedral complexes of all dn configuration.'

My tutorial is on Group Theory so it has something to do with that. I've looked at the Russell-Saunders coupling and understand term symbols and I think the question is asking for ground state term symbols, but I don't understand how the fact that it's octahedral or tetrahedral affects it.

Can someone just let me know if I'm on the right lines and how the shape affects it?
