50% H2SO4 precipitates at 50.6F; what precipitates?
« on: October 25, 2011, 09:51:28 AM »
Hello,

Per MSDS and field experience, 50% (w/w) H2SO4 forms crystals below 50F.

My questions is: what is precipitating?

Thanks.

Rob

Posted alittle too soon.

It's FeSO4.7H20

We're utilizing recovered H2SO4 and it has a concentration of ~9ppm Fe.

This is why crystals form and do not un-form.
