Calorimetry

 125g of Aluminum that was at 175 C is placed into 220.0 ml of water at 20.0 C.  If the specific heat of Aluminum is .902 J/gC, what is the final temperature of the system.

Mw Cw (Tf-Ti)w = -Mm Cm (Tf-Ti)m

Tf=((Mw Cw /-Mm Cm) + Tia + Tiw)/2     Is that the correct formula ???

your equation seems somewhat wrong. i got

Tf = (Mw Cw Tw + Mm Cm Tm) / (Mw Cw + Mm Cm)
