76% is right, but I don't understand how you've gotten to that conclusion :P
Could you explain what you've done?

Here's the most logical way:
sm = starting material
p = product

n(sm) = 5 g /138,12 g/mol = 36.2 mmol
n(p) = 4.96 g / 180.16 g/mol = 27.5 mmol

yield= n(p)/n(sm) * 100 % = 27.5 mmol / 36.2 mmol * 100 % = 76%

Yes your right, your numbers are just more accurate to the decimal place.
Myn is 5.0g / 138g/mol = 0.036mole
Now theoreticle amount is: 0.036mole x 180g/mol= 6.48g

So now 4.96g(actual yield) / 6.48(Theoreticle yield) * 100 = 76%

I see, haha, never seen someone calculate it like this :P
Most important thing is you understand what you're doing and then do it whichever way you want.
