What would the diagram of cis -1,2 - dibromoethylene look like?

You need to reduce the olefin so that you can have free bond rotation, then remake the double bond. You usually can do this kind of stereoisomerization with photolysis.

I would add bromine across the double bond and then eliminate HBr with a strong base to get the trans compound.
Development Chemists do it on Scale, Research Chemists just do it!

What chemistry was discussed in class (I didn't attend)? Was photochemical isomerization or chemical isomerization discussed?
