Just count the atoms.

Read about skeletal formulas if you don't understand them.

e.g. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skeletal_formula

I would be greatful if you give the name of this substance at least cos I have no idea of how to get the name from the structure.
I have been told the structre has some C atoms but it is not written. I have been told they are abvious from the bounds.

Review the Wikipedia page Dan: posted, it will teach you to read the drawing you posted.  You will learn where the carbons are, and where the undrawn hydrogens will be.  Then give it a shot, and we'll check your work, and let you know if you've gotten it right.  If you do this one, you boss will likely ask you to do more of such problems, and we don't want to get you next list of twenty -- unless you intend to split your paycheck with us.
Hey, I'm not judging.  I just like to shoot straight.  I'm a man of science.
