Renamed: Silicone in cooking oil or WD40?
« on: May 30, 2004, 10:11:09 PM »
this isn't exactly a highschool homework question but i need the answer to this question for important reasons.  I hope this is relevant in someway and can be answered.  Does anybody at all know if vegetable oil or wd40 contains silicone in it?  Also if not, can someone give me a list of silicone based oils.  i know that electrical oil and lightbulb oil are some of these but i need a list of others that may be found in more common house hold appliances or just anywhere.  Anyhow it would be cool is someone could answer both of those questions. thanks! -ryan

WD-40 does not contain silicon oil.  Armor-All does.

Vegetable oil only contains only saturated and unsaturated hydrocarbons.
