Future of digital books seems bright due to their ability to effectively cater to each student's learning aptitude. More and more schools are recognizing digital textbooks as an economical choice and strongly encouraging, if not mandating, their use. In fact Florida has proposed that all K-12 classrooms be outfitted with digital textbooks by 2015. Backing this initiative are organizations like CK-12,  a non-profit organization with a mission to produce free and open source K-12 materials to meet student and teacher needs.
