why solubility of NaCl decreases?

Why the solubility of NaCl decreases when NH3 is bubbled.and sodium chloride precipitates.this is used to purify sodium hydroxide in diafragm cell.

So you're bubbling NH3 in an H2O solution with NaCl in it?

I'll throw that maybe because - depending on the temperature of water - NH3 is more soluble in water than NaCl. This happens with NaOH as well.
If you add 1,00 litres of ethanol to 1,00 litres of water, you get 1,92 litres of solution.
