Now you have me confused
Is this a discussion of the fruit or of the results of wine made from the fruit?

Do you understand how wine is made?

I do not see fermentation mentioned in any of these statements.
Do you think that it is not necessary??

HYPOTHESIS: The fruit with the highest sugar content would produce the most alcohol.
TITLE: Comparing the strength of the alcohol contained in the following fruits: cherries, oranges and pomeracs.
AIM: To compare the strength of the alcohol contained in cherries, oranges and pomeracs.

[/quote] yes those are pomeracs...the experiment is about designing a way of testing which fruit makes the strongest wine

In this case what do you think makes the wine strong or weak

well i came to the conclusion that the sugar content in each fruit would determine the strength of the wine produced...

Do you not have to do something to make wine out of fruit juice.

yea...i have to plan a step by step procedure of what i have to do. i don't need results from the actual experiment but i need to assess what i THINK the outcome should be, as in which fruit should make the strongest wine and why.....all i need is steps.

In this forum, typically we do not answer the questions directly.
Instead we ask questions or provide resources for you to answer the question yourself.

I still do not feel you have an understanding of what is to be done.
Maybe another person is better at helping in your case.

Okay, you have a hypothesis now, but it is still just a bit vague - "will produce the most alcohol" by what process? This is what Billnotgatez is trying to get you to make explicit.

Second, your aim and title could use a little refining - "strength" is too ambiguous a word for the point you are trying to get across. Your hypothesis describes your point better.

Now to start your experimental design, look carefully at your hypothesis. You are implying two measurements. How will you measure those two values? Are there any other variables that would need to be controlled? What are they and how would you control them?
