intensity of colours

hi guys,
i have question about complexes again.

Need to explain the following:
The colour of trans-[Co(en)2F2]+ is less intense than those of cis-[Co(en)2F2]+ and trans-[Co(en)2Cl2]+

He's just telling you to go buy a textbook and read. I wouldn't say that one as it is a post-grad book and you are quite clearly not a post grad.

I think we might be more specific:
F. A. Cotton, G. Wilkinson, C. A. Murillo, M. Bochmann,
Advanced Inorganic Chemistry 6th ed (1999). p 824-825
(C&W is not called "The Bible" by inorganic chemists without reason :))
And also for example:C. E. Housecroft, A. G. Sharpe, Inorganic Chemistry 3rd ed p  663.
For you last part consider where F^- and Cl^- are in the spectrochemical series
