potassium octoate and formic acid
« on: March 04, 2012, 08:21:27 AM »
Hi,

For potassium octoate dissolved in a polyol, the concentration of potassium ion is determined by the dissociation constant. What if formic acid is added to this system? How to predict the concentration of potassium ion? Does it have something to do with Ka of formic acid and Kd of potassium formate? Pls give me some clues! Thanks a lot.
