There is a solution of 0.001M salicylic acid in 0.002M HCl.

1ml of this solution is pipette into a 100ml volumetric flask and made up to the mark. What is the concentration of the salicylic acid in the diluted solution?

Its a simple question but Im confused whether the HCl will affect the initial concentration of the salicylic acid...

HCl doesn't matter when calculating concentration of salicylic acid. They are diluted individually (in the same ratio).

If you were asked to calculate pH that would be a different situation.
