Yes, dodecyl is a radical derived from dodecane by removing one hydrogen atom.

then,
Please tell me how to conververt dodecane to 1-bromododecane

Probably the only method using dodecane is bromination of dodecane with yield after separation around 1% or less.

I think that is possible monochlorination with 50-60 %, dehydrohalogenation, then isomerization of double bond to terminal carbon atom and finally radical hydrobromination with final yield 10 % or more.
