Extracting rhenium from ammonium thiocyanate mother liquor
« on: April 13, 2012, 03:21:41 PM »
Here's where I'm at, I work for a rhenium recycling plant. At the end of our process we have 54000L or so this mother liquor that contains about 3g/L of rhenium as ammonium perrhenate. I have a few options I am considering to try but only have limited knowledge about rhenium because I have only been here a few months. I am open to any suggestions anyone might have because it is soon to be disposed of as waste and there is potentially $1mil worth of product tied up in these things.

Thanks
Mac

Mac, will you please provide the composition of the mother liquor? Please provide as much detail as possible.

Thank you
