« on: April 15, 2012, 12:28:11 PM »
To make KNO3 i use KCL and NH4NO3
can i use NACL and MH4NO3 to make NANO3???

Check solubilities of all compounds at different temperatures and conclude if that is possible.

How can you make that compound if you are merely mixing the two solutions together? They are all ionic compounds and are soluble in water to produce its ions. So when you mix the two solutions toether, what you're getting in a solution with the 4 different ions in it. And that doesnt show that you've formed the compound you wanted right? The compound is only in aqueous state and how are you going to separate the ions of the compound that you want from the other two ions that you dont want?

Check the solubilities. In a concentrated solution it may happen something will drop out of the solution if its concentration is not high enough.

Different compounds and more pronounced effect, but the idea is exactly the same.

NaCl + NH4NO3 =0<t<10= NaNO3  + NH4Cl
