Finding pH of a solution given conc. and Ka
« on: April 28, 2012, 11:58:56 PM »
Calculate the pH of a solution of 0.1052 M NaF if Ka = 3.500e-4 for HF?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

pH is -log(H) but I really have no clue how to compare the Ka and the concentration of NaF to get hydronium concentration.
Like It wants me to find pH for NaF, but it gives me Ka for HF...It just doesn't seem doable.

Here you are given the Ka of an acid. Do you know the relationship between Ka and Kb for an acid and its conjugate base?
