Nucleic acids, quick question
« on: May 15, 2012, 09:04:36 AM »
Name and draw the structure of a mismatched base pair which is stabilized via
Hoogsteen interaction. Can't seem to find this info. Obviously you won't be able to draw the the structure but let me know the bases and how the Hoogsteen interaction stabilises it. Thanks!  ;D

Well, the wikipedia page for Hoogsteen base pair (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoogsteen_base_pair) does give a visual example.  Its just that, in their chose image, its not a mismatch.  Still, with examples of the structures, you could try to make a mismatch.
Hey, I'm not judging.  I just like to shoot straight.  I'm a man of science.
