Concentration Calculation
« on: May 20, 2012, 10:32:43 AM »
Hello,

Again a simple question just have little doubt that's why asking.

I take distilled water added 0.7ml of acetic acid and 0.7ml Butyric acid and fill it up till 500ml mark. Now in this solution the concentration of acetic acid and Butyric acid will be 0.024 mol/L and 0.0152 mol/L respectively. I use the relation C1V1=C1V2

Am i doing it right. Thanks and have a nice sunday evening.

Regards!

Question is incomplete and ambiguous. We have no idea if you used pure acids and what were their densities.

These can be correct answers, but as we don't have a complete information, there is no way of being sure.
