Graphene on Cu Foil?
« on: May 21, 2012, 05:11:03 PM »
I've seen some videos like this one where a guy made a bunch of graphene from girl scout cookies on copper foil.

Does anyone know how this can be done at home without their big machinery?

According to Wikipedia, its possible to isolate graphene sheets with a piece of scotch tape, and its formed by pencils simply by writing on paper.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graphene#Occurrence_and_production  I tend to avoid the science demonstrations on YouTube, people can and do fake them.  But there are probably many ways to make graphene, some simpler and easier than others.
Hey, I'm not judging.  I just like to shoot straight.  I'm a man of science.
