Since I was deprived of 300 in Spring I lost my interest in (then) chemistry.com; later it moved to chemistryguy.com.

Yeah...really gone down the toilet.  The big problem they had was changing from chemistry.com to chemistryguy.com.  There were a crap load of people before it changed.  Then, once it changed, it was mostly just the regulars (all 5 or so of us).  But, it seems since everyone quit coming, the decided to completely change it and make it all crappy.  It seems to have gone down the drain all together....

So, looks like I'll have a new home with Alberto and whatever NG's new name is....

I think they decided to use some other forum software than FUDforum due to the problems they had. At some point in Spring (or was it early Summer?) they decided to remove large part of posts database, as the forums were snail-slow. That was the moment I lost my faith (I have fallen from Senior member to Junior member level, and I was one of the first Senior members ever) and almost stopped posting :)

I have exchanged some information with their Admin - from what I remember he wrote that they (ie chemistry.com) had some kind of their own very powerfull forums, not as good-looking and configurable as FUD is, but pretty fast. Perhaps they hit the same wall now and switched to something that is fast - and ugly?

I thought you lost over 200 messages but were still a senior member.  Wasn't it Lynch who became a junior member?

I agree with saying Chemistryguy is terrible now.  With the new format it barely even looks like a forum.

I won't argue, perhaps you are right. Lynch at the time was almost inactive, I believe he was doing some hard work in his backyard (literally, he was modifying drainage or something like that :) )
