etch nickel selectively vs cadmiun sulfide (CdS)

hi all,
i'd like to etch Ni selectively against CdS. nitric acid etches CdS so any nitric-based etchants are probably not going to work well for me. any ideas?

Maybe TFG nickel etchant. This etchant isn't composed of nitric acid according to datasheet.
