Redox <=> BaseAc dictionary :)
« on: December 04, 2005, 07:03:39 AM »
Hi! I'm searching for anagies between the redox language and the base-acid one... :)

so if we take bases for reductors, according to the Lewis def., and oxidants for
acids...
would the reducction meen: the dissociation of an acid?
what would meen the redox potential?
and the electrolysis? would it meen the "expulsion" of an acid(base) by a stonger
one?
and from base-ac to redox:
what would meen bufor?
or pH? would it be the potential of a "semi-cell"?

and, can somebody tell me what is: rH? and eventualy its analogy in teh baseac world? :)

:) waiting for your opinion... :)
