When stoichiometric amounts of two metals (neither of each has a silver color typical for most metals) are heated in a neutral atmosphere, produced substance has a specific resistance  several orders of magnitude higher than original metals. When thrown into water substance reacts violently, producing a gas (34 mL at STP per 1 g of the solid) and an alkaline suspension.

Name the substance.

CsAu ? Educated guess, although, it might be wrong

Edit : Just did the calculations. I think it is CsAu. Not much doubt now.
