2,2-dimethylbutane or hexane higher boiling point?

I don't understand why hexane has a higher boiling point?  It looks either non-poplar or less polar than 2.2-dimethybutane.

I figure 2,2-dimethybutane should be polar because of it's shape.  They have the same molar mass, so that factor is ruled out.

More compact shape - more volatile compound (this staterment concerns isomers)
