Increse amount of substance?
« on: July 19, 2012, 08:33:19 PM »
Hi! My first post of this forum, as a spare-time chemist:

 If i, for example, have 50 ml of a substanse;
Is there any way to increase this amount to 100 ml, without have to buy more of the substance?

 Not sure if this is right departement of the forum, but i'l try.

If you want to increase the volume of a certain substance without adding anything to it or manipulating it in any way, I'm sorry to say that it is impossible.
Although that hypothetical property could be of much use for oil companies  ;D

If it is a gas, you can simply expand the size of the container...  :)
