hi,
I just had a pretty simple question...brain kind of dying lately.
Is there a specific name for molecules that have both polar and non-polar ends? I could have sworn there was...I just can't remember no matter how hard I've tried. Or maybe I'm just dreaming?!?
Thanks a bunch
Ciao

Maybe you are thinking of amphipathic (amphiphilic)? A molecule with hydrophobic and hydrophilic ends, such as a surfactant.

Yes! That is exactly what I was thinking of!
Thank you so so much...this would have driven me absolutely insane...for such a simple thing.
