Book/reference for Side reactions in Named Reactions
« on: September 05, 2012, 08:52:27 AM »
I am searching for specific Book/reference on the title of "Side reactions in Named Reactions".
Although I found general/possible side reactions in the named Reactions mechanism/discussion on a specific reaction i couldn't find more literature.
On the other hand there are some books specially focusing on "Side reactions in organic chemistry" in which most of the named reactions are missing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot in advance!

Do you mean side reactions of named reactions (so for instance protodestannylation in Stilles or similar), or named reactions as the actual side reaction? I think you may find it hard if you're after the latter if only because if a reaction has a name in my opinion it's likely to be useful in some way so there will have been a lot of work in optimising conditions such that they are viable.

Yes I am looking for this kind, not the second kind.

Seldom organic chemists check for the other products of reaction. Sometimes you can find information about main side product in Organic Syntheses (89 volumes).
