It looks ok if not a bit long. I doubt if the di-aldehyde actually exists it probably reacts with aniline and then the second acetal hydrolyses.
However, this is really semantics, but your proposal is quite reasonable.
Development Chemists do it on Scale, Research Chemists just do it!

Thanks for your advice :) In the reaction, it is very much a "directed" reaction such that the acetal was give sufficient time to hydrolyze before adding the aniline.
