both are true.

Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.

AWK's is the ionic equation for the reaction.
Haiph's is the usual chemical equation for the reaction.

Sarahjane asked fo ionic equation.
Conc. H2SO4 can react with NaCl in two way:
at room temp:
NaCl + H2SO4 = HCl = NaHSO4
and at elevated temperature (say 100 C):
2NaCl + H2SO4 = 2HCl + Na2SO4
but ionic equation is always
H(+) + Cl(-) = HCl

Do you mean H2SO4

Acids eventually can exchange protons, but nothing more
HCl+HSO
