Chemistry help needed please :)
« on: September 19, 2012, 07:53:36 PM »
the question ask .515g of potassium hydrogen phthalate(khc8h404) is diluted with 80ml of water, and 3 drops of phenolphtalein is added. after 24.6ml of naoh is added a pink color lasting for 20 seconds is noted, whats the concentration of naoh.

what i tried doing is getting the .515g multyplying by the potassium grams to get moles, then i added the ml after i converted them to liters, to get M. is that right??

This does not sound correct.  You should convert the mass of potassium phthalate (KHP) into moles using the gram molecular weight of KHP, but it is not a multiplication.  Think about the units.
