uncertainty in electron position?
« on: September 22, 2012, 06:40:37 PM »
An electron traveling at 4.9×10^5 m/s has an uncertainty in its velocity of 2.27×10^5m/s .
What is the uncertainty in its position?
 ??? ???

Thanks

Do you remember that ΔxΔp ≥ħ/2 ? It gives you the momentum (p), solve for x.

1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
