Why people say that the bond between two amino acids is covalent? explain please

There are basically two types of bond, covalent, where the partners share the electrons in the bond and ionic where the partners donate and receive electrons.
In your case the bond is covalent. see picture. Condense two glycine molecules and you will get a di-peptide where the covalent bond is formed between the acid group of one amino acid and the amino group of the second amino acid.
Development Chemists do it on Scale, Research Chemists just do it!
