Tests for lithium sulfate?
« on: November 25, 2012, 03:21:26 PM »
Having trouble with this question. Can anyone help?

Out of lithium chloride, lithium carbonate, lithium sulfate, ammonium sulfate and sodium sulfate I don't know which one is lithium sulfate and I need to identify it. Says I need balanced equations and any observations too.

Totally lost, can anyone help?

For Lithium you can use flame color. Read about the element lithium. Sulfate can be checked by barium ions.
