Cresol (4-methylphenol) into NH2 -- reaction?

I have 4-methyl phenol and I need to change the OH into an NH2.

I am unsure of how exactly to go about this. I considered putting thionyl chloride and heat in with it so that I can put a Cl group in that spot, which is a good leaving group, and then NO2/NH2 can come in and attack.

Thionyl chloride won't do it, have a look at this reference.
