Experiments Involving Magnesium

Hi!

I have an experiment to come up with for my chemistry class that involves magnesium. It can be anything as long as the experiment revolves around magnesium. The only thing I can't do is set it on fire unfortunately  :( . Also, the experiment has to have well defined independent and dependent variables, so it has to be pretty organized.

Hope you guys have good ideas

Do a redox reaction with different acids and measure the ammount of hydrogen gas liberated!

An experiment that we did was to react Mg with HCl and collect the gas in a long graduated test tube, for high precision. Use the volume of the hydrogen to find out how many moles it is. Then, how many moles of Mg? How many grams of Mg?
