Assymetrical Newtons Cradle.
« on: March 10, 2013, 03:25:11 AM »
If you have a Newtons cradle and one of the balls is twice the mass of the other balls I have heard that the balls will shoot up at uneven velocities in order to conserve kinetic energy. My question was, is the only equations necessary for working with this the conservation of momentum equation and the kinetic energy equation?
Thanks.
